Snorkeling mask test: Thenice
DuikeninBeeld tested a series of snorkeling masks. These are the results for the Thenice mask.
First impressions and usage
The Thenice Pink S/M tends to run small. We tested the pink model, and well, let’s say you really have to love pink.
We have to guess whether or not we succeeded in attaching the snorkel because the safety catch doesn’t click into place. Putting the mask on is fairly easy, but there are ridges in the silicone edge at the cheekbone level that you can feel on your skin. The field of vision is reasonable.
The mask fogs up slightly during snorkeling, doing a surface dive and swimming underwater. The mask slowly fills up with water during a surface dive, but creates a good seal when snorkeling on the surface. The breathing resistance is minimal, so this is a plus.
Score for important features – 1-5, with 1 being poor and 5 good

Conclusion
The model we tested was very pink, but there are presumably people who would love this. Not a bad mask, mostly suited for relaxed swimming on the surface and looking around underwater. It would be a good idea to pre-treat the mask with an anti-fog spray.
