Snorkeling masks 2019 – Gadgy
Full-face snorkel masks are available in all shapes and sizes. This is what the DuikeninBeeld testing team thought about the Gadgy mask.

Uh-oh…the first thing we noticed is the text on the packaging: “Dive Mask”. Diving with a full-face snorkel mask is the very thing you shouldn’t do – after all, these masks prevent you from clearing your ears when you go below the surface. The name can be really misleading!
We were able to attach the snorkel to the mask without too much effort. The only problem is it didn’t click into place and came loose again very easily.
Like most masks, the Gadgy is available in several sizes, but do be sure to try the mask on since both the S/M and L/XL run smaller than the other masks we tested. The strap system uses high-quality materials. Once we put the mask on, the view was fine.
This view is also good underwater, although the mask does fog up somewhat. The purge valve works well.
What doesn’t work well however is the snorkel. This closes up now and then during inhalation preventing any air from entering. This is exactly what you don’t want to happen while you’re snorkeling.
In short, given all of its shortcomings, we don’t recommend the Gadgy.
